Specific Pacific

Posted by admin On June - 9 - 2006

It’s me again back from the steel front. Early in the morning about 5:30 am I got up for the ‘Pacific Steel’ shooting on the contruction site. Russell and I meet Jo from the agency at 7:00 am there. It was freezing cold but nevermind. After shooting lots of photos we visited a distributor later on. Look how beautiful steel can be…

Construction site and pet food

Posted by admin On June - 8 - 2006

For a new job on friday we visited today a construction site. The challenge is to take photos of the steel to show his diffrent structure and make a kind of xray photography. But how? I tried something out at home and it looks like that…

Later back in the studio were pet food and pet toys delivered. Was thinking on Fiona (my cat at home in Berlin) she would be perfect as cat food model and she would like the toys. But she wasn’t there…

New furniture shot

Posted by admin On June - 6 - 2006

Like last time we went to the furniture store and do new shots of the office furniture there. Everything was new designed and came fresh as a prototype. So you can imagine not everything was there, some parts were missing and we had to improvise. Thats the result…

Food Shoot

Posted by admin On June - 2 - 2006

I saw it happen this morning I woke up and was sick. Sore throat. Feels not nice so I have to drink heaps of sage tea with honey. In the studio today is a food shooting with tasty food everywhere. But more important is that it looks nice. That’s why Sara styles the food. She is food stylist and its lots of work since the food looks like you wanna have it to look. I do some shots for a little impression for my blog. From bathroom to kitchen…

Russian Shoot Part 2

Posted by admin On June - 1 - 2006

Had today the second Russian shoot. This times with three girls. As location we choose the atmospheric ‘Lenin’ bar at the waterfront near the viaduct. Russell helped me with the light because it was indoor and at the bar quite dark.

Russian Shoot Part 1

Posted by admin On May - 25 - 2006

David soon will publish a story about Russians in Auckland in the Canvas Magazin/Herald. He told me since weeks that he wants me to do photos from Russians he know for this article. Finaly today was the day were I done my first Russian shoot in his appartment. Russell came with me, just in case I need help with the lighting. But in the end done the photos on the balcony in natural light. The russian girl, Anya, was really nice and photogenic. Painting is one of her hobbies and so I took a picture of her in front of one of her paintings.

Before the shoot Russell and me went to the Shoe Warehouse. It´s huge and you can find good shoes for less money. So I bought four pair. But it was worth it…

The Chicken farm or chick between chicken

Posted by admin On May - 22 - 2006

Had you not ever had the question where all the chicken, chicken wings and other chicken stuff is coming from? Today assist Russell and for us it was allowed to visit a huge chicken company. I saw where they grew up, how they were killed and finally what they produced out of them. Later on had chicken for lunch. Maybe it sounds cruel but it was really interessting and to be honest almost everybody of us eats chicken.

1001 chicken… The way it is.

Seventies glamour shoot

Posted by admin On May - 20 - 2006

Today is time for new exiting shots in the studio. This time is topic ‘Seventies’ because we just bought the clothes for the Seventies Party next week. And if you can remember a seventies bathroom will make a perfect authentic background. We are lucky we can use the set from the bathroom shoot in the studio. Its nice chocolate brown.

The huge bathroom in the studio

Posted by admin On May - 19 - 2006

The studio of Russell is big. But after a bathroom company build a bathroom set for the annual bathroom shoot the studio morphed into a small place with less space. But nevermind the nice chocolate bathroom is huge and beautiful and got a comfortable shower with stair for shaving legs (!) and a big spa bath (funny in german language: whirlpool) for more than two persons. And everything in modern style but a kind of retro seventies style. To be honest I got some new ideas for funny photos in that scenerie… you will see soon…
