Today we had planed the Tongariro Crossing but unfortunately since yesterday the weather is changing. It’s a dark sky and it rains sometimes. And Tongariro Crossing means a walk about 17km through the Tongariro National Park. Must be nice but not in rain. So we decide to go home, back to Auckland. On the way we stopped when we saw something nice. And first we found the Tongariro National Trout Centre. Here you can explore everything about fish and fishing – and you can feed the trout. On the way home we passed Lake Taupo the biggest freshwater lake in New Zealand. Some even say it is the biggest lake in the southern hemisphere. Here you can find the typical black swans.
