Inspiring Prof Randy Pausch

Posted by Susanna On September - 16 - 2010

I am on my way to fulfill my dream. There are many people who inspire me to keep going who had reached their dreams before so I know all is possible as long as you believe strongly and make it possible.

One of most inspiring people I found recently was Professor Randy Pausch who actually died few years ago on cancer. But his message is still alive and need to be spread… Please watch this very touching and inspiring “Last lecture” about how to achieve your childhood dreams. I promise it will make you think!

Meeting Steve McCurry

Posted by Susanna On May - 4 - 2006

Do you remember the famous picture what went around the world once? I knew it from early National Geographic Issues. In Auckland at the end of the world I got the opportunity to meet the famous photographer Steve McCurry. He hosted a lecture in the Art Gallery and I got the chance to go. Russel got two tickets and asked me for coming. I myself tried for two weeks to get tickets – in vain. After he was talking about fascinating adventures he experienced around the globe it was possible to let sign books by him. I actually bought two books, one for me and one for Scott. Strange that they offered a big book signing but excuses later there had only a few books left. So you can’t imagine how quick I was at the little bookshelf buying two of the last four or five books (Only Sanctuary the book about the temples of Angkor in Cambodia). Then I was waiting in the line for letting Steve McCurry sign my books and asking him after a few pictures of the two of us, especially for my blog. He seriously is my biggest inspiration. We had a quick chat where I’m coming from and that he stayed in Berlin in 1989 when the wall came down and all that stuff. Later at home while looking in my signed books I realized that he dated the signings with May 4th 2004.
